12. Hela – Mississippi

Mississippi is more than just a name for a river. First, Mississippi was the birthplace of the blues in the Mississippi Delta. The most iconic blues singer B.B. King was born in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Other famous blues singers like Little Freddie King and Mississippi John Hurt were also born here as well.

If you’re a fan of the Muppets, Dark Crystals, or The Labyrinth, you can thank Mississippi for those as well. Jim Henson was born in Greenville, Mississippi in 1936. Henson’s work is still popular today. The Muppets are still part of pop culture and there is another Dark Crystals movie(The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) coming out in 2019.

Looking at Mississippi you can see that it’s the birthplace of creativity. Oprah Winfrey is another creative person who was born here. She’s also one of the most powerful and influential people in entertainment. While researching Mississippi, I saw their creativity and the people the state has produced. Hela was the first character that came to mind.

Hela is a villain, but who can doubt her power or her creativity? In Thor: Ragnarok we saw that she was powerful enough to defeat the entire Asgardian army and break Thor’s hammer with ease. Then, the creativity to use her powers so smoothly was breathtaking. It looked like she barely broke a sweat.
