22. Heimdall – Maine
One of the things Maine is most known for is its nature. First, Maine has the highest population of moose in the country, then, of course, there are lobsters. Maine loves their lobsters so much that The University of Maine has a Lobster Institute dedicated to finding more about lobsters. So, all of you lobster lovers should be sending them some thank you letters.
Maine is also the home of over 60 lighthouses and has a day dedicated to them (Open Lighthouse Day). So if you love lighthouses, this is the place for you. The lighthouses of Maine have helped countless people avoid accidents in the water. There is only one person in the MCU that could do what they do. The all-seeing Asgardian god Heimdall.
Heimdall has dedicated his life to protecting Asgard from danger. He protected Asgard by warning Odin, Thor, and the warriors of Asgard about trouble coming their way. Even when he became an enemy of Asgard (thanks, Loki) Heimdall still did his job.
He’s the lighthouse of the MCU. Heimdall knows all the stories of the world. And just like Stephen King (who’s a Maine native), Heimdall probably has more than a few horror stories to tell. He has seen everything there is and knows everyone’s dark secrets as well.
