2. Winter Soldier – Alaska

Alaska was granted statehood in 1959 and was the 49th state to join the union. When people think of Alaska, they think of cold weather, ice, and snow, but it’s so much more than that. Alaska has a ton of wildlife like moose, bears, whales and more. It’s also known for its long nights and days. Some of their nights last as long as 67 days without any sun. On the flip side, they can also go 80 days with uninterrupted daylight.

Bucky Barnes has been through a lot. Lost an arm, brainwashed by Hydra, turned to dust by Thanos, and accused of terrorism (Captain America: Civil War). At some point he’s going to decide he’s had enough of this life. What better place for him to retire than Alaska.

Bucky could spend the rest of his days being a man of nature by fishing and hunting for food for his community. We known he could survive on the land since he did it in Wakanda. At least here he could be out in the open. All he’d have to do is grow a beard and no one would recognize him. Also, if anyone threatens his community, he’d be right there to put them in their place.
