29. The Collector – Indiana

A fun fact about Indiana is that it’s a heavy basketball state and not just Larry Bird. People think of New York as the Mecca of basketball. However, Indiana has produced more players to the NBA per capita than anywhere in the United States. Current players like George Hill, Zach Randolph, and Gordon Hayward and past players like Shawn Kemp, Bonzi Wells, and Scott Skiles are all Indiana born players.

Indiana has produced more famous people than just NBA players. Late night legend David Letterman and actor James Dean were both born in Indiana. Also, the cartoon and comic strip Garfield takes place in Muncie, Indiana. It’s like Indiana is a collector of sorts. You can probably see where this is going.

All of these are random, but so are the things Indiana has produced. They can be attributed to a large amount of ice cream distributed around the country and is the birthplace of James Dean who’s known as one of the coolest actors of all time. Who knows what they’ll collect next.

The Collector is a cosmic being that…collects the rarest things in the universe. He had Cosmo, the Aether (Reality Stone) that was given to him by the Asgardians, and Howard the Duck in his museum. He would surely fit right into the state and find pleasure in it’s collection of icons.
