38. Black Widow – Washington
Washington is the only state to be named after a president. It became the 42nd state to join the Union on November 11, 1889.
One of the things that Washington has in abundance is beautiful things to see. There’s the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument that has hiking trails with information on the eruption that happened and you can see some of the damage it caused. Port Angeles where you can do things like hiking, golf, kayak, fish, and more. And, of course, there’s the Space Needle in center.
Natasha Romonoff has been a spy or training to be one for most of her life. At some point she may decide to settle down lead a more relaxed life. She even mentioned this in Avengers: Age of Ultron when she was talking to Bruce Banner.
Since Black Widow spent a good portion of her life killing, she’d want to live somewhere she could relax and forget about her past. Washington could be that place. With all of the nature she can explore, she could still stay in peak shape and get out any aggression she may have. And since Seattle is more of a hipster state, she wouldn’t have to worry about someone really trying to attack. And if they did? Well, hope they have good health insurance.
