Matching 50 MCU characters with each of the 50 states

45. Everett Ross – Nebraska
Nebraska has the state motto of, “Equality before the law,” the reasoning warmed my heart. In 1867 only after agreeing to accept Congress’s demand that it removes a “whites only” voting restriction from its state constitution. It’s also known for having the first Arbor Day on April 10, 1872.
On this day, Nebraska territory governor Julius Sterling Morton arranged for 1 million trees to be planted. So not only does the state care about it’s people, it also cares about the environment as well. What MCU Character would have this much honor in its earlier stages of its history?
Everett Ross became one of the people to help save the day in the first Black Panther movie and before. Ross could have told the world what he knew about the Black Panther and T’Challa, but he chose not to. While he was probably supposed to due to his job with the United States, he chose his honor over his job.
In Black Panther he was the first American to be welcomed in the country because he proved he was honorable. If not for him, Nakia would have been killed. He took a bullet for her when he didn’t have to, an action we feel perfectly represents the state of Nebraska.
