48. Falcon – Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is a state that’s known for its rich history when it comes to the beginning of America. On December 12, 1787 Pennsylvania became the second state to join the Union. It’s the home of the Liberty Bell, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and where the U.S. Constitution was drawn up. Pennsylvania also has the first zoo built in America and where Betsy Ross made the American flag.

This was also one of the easier selections. Sam Wilson is the perfect representation of Pennsylvania. Let’s begin with Steve Rogers handing over the mantle of Captain America to him at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

He was given the shield because he believed that he would represent the ideals of what America should stand for. Some will debate that, but it’s true. He’s willing to fight and die for what he believes in, he’s served in the military, and he believes in the people.

Philadelphia is known for the fictional character Rocky. A movie about an underdog fighting his way to become a champion. Right now, Sam Wilson being Captain America is the underdog story. Especially without powers when you’re next to Hulk and Captain Marvel. Sam Wilson has big shoes to fill and a lot of people aren’t happy with him becoming Captain America. However, he’s more than up for the challenge. Don’t be shocked when he does a great job.
