4. Scarlet Witch – Kansas

A joke could be made about not being in Kansas anymore, but let’s be better than that.

Like most of the states on this list, Kansas is the birthplace of unexpected things. Pizza Hut was started there in 1958 by two brothers attending Wichita State University. Kansas was also  the first to house a Payless Shoe Store, with the brand founded in 1956.

Maybe the weirdest thing, though, is an urban legend that Stull, Kansas has the gateway to Hell. Which is funny considering that you can also find a marker in Kansas where you’ll be in the middle of the country (add ominous music here).

Scarlet Witch has become a well-known character, but is still completely underrated. Despite scaring the crap out of Thanos, taking out one of his Black Order, and making the Avengers doubt themselves in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Scarlet Witch still doesn’t get the respect she deserves.

Kansas has produced things that America uses that we aren’t aware of just like the casual fan doesn’t know what the Scarlet Witch is capable of. It’s only fitting that I’d put the two of them together. Plus, if there was any MCU movie character who would be able to open the gates of Hell, it would be Wanda.
