Godspeed, a speedster villain, who debuted on The Flash last season, appears in set photos of The Flash’s sixth season.

Revealed on Twitter, it appears that Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) will be facing off against the glittery, irredeemable and supersonic Godspeed. As per Heroic Hollywood, set photos depict the two speedsters colliding in the season 6 premiere.

The villainous character, portrayed by Kindall Charters and voiced by BD Wong, first appeared in a self-titled episode of The Flash towards the latter half of the fifth season, and it appears that the all-white Speedster will now return at the beginning of season 6.

It will be interesting to see how Godspeed ends up in the present day as Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) took him out with the help of Eobard Thawne while imprisoned at Iron Heights in 2049.

Whatever the case may be, it may have something to do with the crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. The five-part event that is set to kick off in the fall will span across five shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. It will involve a cosmic, multiversal threat.

Thawne a.k.a. the Reverse Flash, with the aid of Nora, meddled with the timeline and caused the events of a Crisis to happen in the year 2019 – five years earlier than it was supposed to take place (2024).

In The Flash season 5, episode 18, “Godspeed” (which marked Danielle Panabaker’s directorial debut), it involved the villain of the same name as Team Flash read Nora’s journal from the future.

It documented events decades later in the year 2049 where Nora came from. As a forensic scientist, Nora discovered she possessed metahuman abilities in the form of superhuman speed thanks to an encounter with Godspeed.
