Kraven the Hunter has been hinted at making a debut in the MCU for a while now and his time may be coming soon. Who could play the iconic hunter?

Kraven the Hunter, one of the few villains to ever actually defeat Spider-Man in the comics, albeit getting reinserted back in the L column shortly after by the web-slinger. He still remains one of the most dangerous foes from the comics and someone who has always commanded a feel of dread when readers see him.

There is the potential that he was mildly hinted at in Spider-Man: Far From Home by one mysterious character and an Earth-616 shattering event.

Sergei Kravenoff is the half-brother of a character that may have been introduced in the film named Dmitri. Though his surname was never given, it has led many fans to speculate, and director Jon Watts added fuel to the fire with his statements when asked about actor Numan Acar’s character.

"“Well, Dmitri in the film works for Nick Fury and I think anyone who works for Nick Fury, they certainly have a mysterious past. We’re not specifically saying that he’s [Chameleon]… but we’re not not saying.”"

The mid-credits scene after the film also opened a huge can of worms when J. Jonah Jameson revealed Spider-Man’s secret identity of Peter Parker via Mysterio. What this does is make him an easy target for anyone who wishes to harm him.

There has been a lot of talk about this fast-tracking a Sinister Six plotline, but whether that is or isn’t the case, it could be a very light tease that Kraven is coming. He’s a prolific member of the Sinister Six, and now that he, and the world, knows who Peter is, Spider-Man is suddenly much easier prey for the hunter.

The character of Kraven the Hunter is a unique one in what motivates him. He strives to be the greatest hunter of all time, and he will hunt any game. A wealthy Russian aristocrat who gives off calm confidence and savage undertones of just how far he is willing to go.

He is gifted with enhanced physical attributes along with being a master tactician and tracker. Kraven generally lived by a code where he preferred to use his hands when hunting even the biggest of game like Lions, and had a Batman mentality where he refused to use guns, but more so out of egotistical pride than honor.

It’s not until taking on Spider-Man and being driven near insanity by the struggle that he decides to use firearms against his foe.

The actor who plays Kraven needs to have a charm that allows him to pull off the civilized Sergei Kravinoff but also turn into a savage beast of a man that could wrestle lions with his bare hands and play the madness that Kraven eventually suffers from at Spider-Man’s hands.

Ideally an actor of Russian descent, but it’s not a requirement as Kraven’s Russian heritage is never a focal point to his character. Also, bulky and ideally above 6’0 and seasoned, not too old but not too young, around the age of 40 would be a solid range.
