10. Yuri Kolokolnikov

Source: HBO/Game of Thrones

Age: 38

Height: 6’5

Yuri is a Moscow born actor who is best known for his role as Styr in Game of Thrones. A massive human being standing at 6’5, he has more than the right frame for a man that is capable of wrestling lions with his bare hands. Athletic stunt work is a diamond on his resume as well after his work with Ryan Reynolds in The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

The character Styr from Game of Thrones is something of a wild animal with no semblance of human emotions. It’s something Yuri is comfortable with as he delivers cannibalistic lines with sharp malice in his tone. Wildling Thenns from the show are more relatable to animals than humans and in some sense that is exactly what you need if you’re going to play Kraven the Hunter.

While his size and Russian heritage are a big win, his other features are lacking any resemblance to Kraven in the comics. Reddish blonde hair sticks out like a sore thumb when picturing him in the leopard furs.

There are always liberties that will need to be taken when adapting anything from page to screen and the hair will be off-putting for some Marvel purists. But the authentic Russian accent and impeccable size once he adds some extra muscle should make up for him not being the spitting image of Kraven.
