6. Staz Nair

Source: HBO/Game of Thrones

Age: 28

Height: 6’2

Nair is from London but he is of a Russian-Indian descent and his overall look gives off a sinisterly-charming vibe. An extremely good looking gentleman, but with a nefarious look in his eyes. Nair being Russian, along with his powerful demeanor, was the overall factor with casting him as Kraven the Hunter.

Many Game of Thrones fans will recognize Nair as the intimidating Dothraki leader named Qhono that was placed behind Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys through Seasons 6, 7, and 8. Qhono had very few speaking lines in the show and when he did speak it was in a fictional language, but his demeanor and screen presence always drew eyes towards him.

Any other credits would be found in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the 2016 film Badozee. He showed himself to be a capable actor and vocalist in both, but Kraven isn’t much for singing and neither character he played in these films fit Kraven’s personality.

Nair has the look and Russian heritage to boot and is an entertaining actor to watch. He might not be ideal, but he’d be worth strong consideration when the time came to cast the legendary Hunter just to see if a diamond couldn’t be found in the rough.
