The Flash: Killer Frost relationships set to be explored further in Season 6

Season 6 of The Flash will bring with it the further development of Killer Frost’s relationships with Caitlin, Cisco and the rest of Team Flash!

Fans clamoring for further exploration of Killer Frost’s dynamics with Team Flash are in for a treat come Season 6 of The Flash! After sitting on the back burner, Caitlin Snow and her alter-ego Killer Frost finally took center stage as the fifth season of The CW’s superhero drama delved into the pair’s unique relationship.

It was a storyline long in the works as the writers further explored the two character’s connection and the bond they share through a beautiful arc — one which gave actress Danielle Panabaker the chance to truly shine. The duo’s relationship is one which will continue to be explored in Season 6; however, it’s not the only Killer Frost relationship set to expand when The Flash returns!

"“I really loved last year and I thought they did a great job exploring the relationships with Caitlin and Killer Frost. And I think this season, they’re going to explore a lot more Killer Frost relationships with everybody on Team Flash,” The Flash‘s Danielle Panabaker teased of the upcoming sixth season. “We’re going to get to see her take the wheel a little bit more and see her not just in the battles.”"

Among the relationships fans can look forward to seeing explored further in Season 6 is the relationship between Killer Frost and Cisco Ramon.

While Caitlin and Cisco’s relationship has always been one of the series most beloved friendships and is often at the forefront of the show, the relationship between Cisco and Caitlin’s icy counterpart has never been fully explored — something the writers will finally remedy come Season 6.

"“I do think the Killer Frost and Cisco relationship is different [from the Caitlin and Cisco relationship],” Panabaker teased. “Cisco I’m sure has some preconceived notions about Killer Frost and Killer Frost probably has some thoughts about Cisco. But that’s a new relationship that we get to explore [in Season 6].”"

Outside of the evolution of Killer Frost’s relationships with her fellow Team Flash comrades, Panabaker is also hopeful that Season 6 will continue to explore the duo’s family dynamics.

"“I hope [to see more of Caitlin’s family in Season 6],” Panabaker confessed when asked about the open-endedness to Caitlin’s family storylines. “Season 5 was a long to time to wait to finally get to see some interaction between Caitlin and her parents. So obviously, I’m sad that Caitlyn’s dad is dead again, but excited to see if there’s more story to be told.”"
