These characters should never be Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has finished its most recent phase. Avengers: Endgame left a few voids in their roster. Some of their teammates died or quit, while others are probably just going onto other endeavors. It would be a smart guess that Captain Marvel is going to be the Avengers’ leader, while T’Challa and Spider-Man will probably be on the roster as well.

With the acquisition of 21st Century Fox, the Avengers’ roster is going to look different as time goes on. Characters like Wolverine, Storm, and Johnny Storm may make it to the main line-up. However, there are other characters that should never be Avengers in the MCU.

That’s not to say the characters are bad, they just don’t represent what the Avengers stand for. They also have to be able to mesh with their teammates. Take a guy like Iceman. He’s a team player who fits the Avengers ideal, but it’s doubtful that he’d be an Avenger. They may not agree with his style or his pranks, while someone like Deadpool would. Even though he’s a goofball, he’s still a soldier who follows orders.

What we have below are 10 characters that should never be members of the Avengers in the MCU, even though some of them were Avengers in the comics.
