The Punisher

Frank Castle is a stone cold, remorseless killer. So much so that he rarely cares about anything except his mission. We saw in the Netflix series The Punisher that he does care about people, but he’s also always going to do things his way.

Punisher can be a great teammate. He’s been a U.S. Marine, he’s fought in war, and he’s comfortable leading people into battle. If this is the case, then why couldn’t Frank Castle be an Avenger? Other than the fact that he’s not a PG-13 character, Frank Castle would get annoyed with the Avengers very quickly.

Frank doesn’t like to wait around talking while lives are in danger. He’d much rather die trying to help someone rather than do nothing at all. Also, the Avengers handle the big things. After the aliens stopped invading and Hydra has been taken down, there’s still crime in the streets. Frank would rather help prevent murders and human trafficking than fight off a bunch of Kree trying to invade Earth.

The Punisher is also completely okay with torturing people. Black Widow and Hawkeye may agree with this, but there’s no way Spider-Man is. I’d give Spider-Man half a mission before he tries to web Punisher to a lamp post in front of a police station. Actually, Spider-Man would threaten to quit as soon as he knew Punisher was being recruited.
