Bruce Wayne will finally make his Arrowverse debut as Batman: The Animated Series star Kevin Conroy will play a futuristic version of the character in Crisis On Infinite Earths.

It’s safe to say that the Arrowverse’s next crossover, “Crisis On Infinite Earths”, will be the biggest yet. A five-part event, it will be the first to feature all five of The CW’s Arrowverse shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. And now, as revealed this week, it will also include its other superhero show Black Lightning.

However, it has just got a whole lot bigger, as TVLine revealed that the game-changing event will feature legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy, who will be portraying a “Bruce Wayne from the future”.

Now this is huge news for two reasons. Firstly, Conroy is no stranger to playing Bruce Wayne, as the veteran performer has voiced Batman/Bruce Wayne in countless animated shows, films and video games – a role which he first took on when he headlined the iconic Batman: The Animated Series back in 1992.

He’s also no stranger to playing a futuristic version of Bruce Wayne, as he voiced the aged Bruce in sequel spin-off Batman Beyond.

The other monumental thing we can take away from this announcement is that it marks the official introduction of The Dark Knight into the Arrowverse.

After years of fan speculation, Batman’s existence was finally confirmed last season through the introduction of Batwoman and, as Oliver Queen had already previously mentioned Bruce Wayne, it’s going to be thrilling to see the character finally make his debut in The CW’s shared universe of superheroes.
