Before Arrow comes to a close, David Ramsey promises the series will provide answers to several burning questions including whether Diggle is or is not Green Lantern.

After helping to launch a shared universe, introducing fans to countless beloved characters and raking up more than 150 hours of television, Arrow will take its final bow with a 10-episode final season. With only ten episodes left in its arsenal, the Arrow writers have a limited number of episodes to address the many questions posed over the years – including more than a few burning questions about the future of David Ramsey’s beloved hero John Diggle.

"“For the character, there’s some things that will probably be answered,” Arrow actor David Ramsey promised when speaking with members of the media at Comic-Con.“His relationship with Lyla [and what the future holds for them.] Lyla plays a pivotal role in this season. She’s the leader of Argus, so we have to kind of address that. Where’s Diggle and what’s going on with his children [in the future]? I think that’s important. Is he or is he not Green Lantern? I think that’s important. So I think those three things will be addressed in the 10 episodes, so you will get answers,” Ramsey concluded."

Rumors have been swirling for years regarding Diggle’s ties to the Green Lantern Corps and it was just last year that the writers addressed the fan theory with a fun throwaway line in the 2018 crossover event. The fact Season 8 will look to finally address the question head on should make for quite the memorable moment – regardless of what direction the writers decide to go in.

With only ten episodes left, there’s no timeline on when exactly the question of Diggle’s Green Lantern connection might come into play. It is always possible its a story thread which might play into the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event – especially given last year’s brief addressing of the storyline. One thing that is certain? Regardless of what lies ahead, Diggle will, as always, stand by Oliver and assist his friend however possible.

"“I can tell you [Diggle] remains by Oliver’s side, which is where he probably should always be.  It’s a five-show crossover. They’re going to be shocked,” Ramsey teased of the forthcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.“I think some questions will be answered, but this isn’t a situation where every single loose end has been tied up to a nice bow,” Ramsey continued. “I think some of those questions about Diggle are important to answer, but not every answer will be there. I think everyone will be satisfied with the not just the crossover, but the [Arrow series] finale.”"
