Daughters of the Dragon

When Netflix started cancelling Marvel shows, there was one project in particular that we were deprived of. The Daughters of the Dragon would have been a fan favorite. Combine Misty Knight’s sassy attitude and incredible detective skills and Colleen Wing’s equally strong personality and fighting skills, and there’s no way that show would have lost. Alas, it was not meant to be, at least not on Netflix anyway.

It’s unclear if ABC can work out a deal that will allow them to use both of those characters, but it’s possible. If Sony and Disney can work out something for Spider-Man, why can’t this happen? Also, all of the Marvel-Netflix shows were produced by ABC Studios.

This duo could be the best thing since Batman and Robin. In one series, they were bounty hunters. They chased down criminals like the Rhino and did it in spectacular (and hilarious) fashion. In another, they were Heroes for Hire during the post-Marvel Civil War era. Either one of these work in a TV setting. What we saw in Iron Fist wasn’t even close to what they could do. Colleen doesn’t need the power of the Iron Fist to fight superpowered beings. Misty Knight doesn’t need Luke Cage to be an amazing character. Together they could be could be the two of Marvel’s biggest and baddest ladies to TV.
