When The Flash returns for its sixth season, Tom Cavanagh will bring to life a new iteration of Harrison Wells; one he describes as a bit of a swashbuckler, adventurer and rogue!

Over the course of The Flash‘s first five seasons, Tom Cavanagh has been a man of many hats, getting the chance to breathe life into several versions of the character he originated in Season 1: Harrison Wells. From the affable H.R. Wells from Earth-19 to the super sleuthing Sherloque Wells of Earth-21, the Wells we’ve met thus far have each brought something unique to the series.

Keeping with the trend of seasons past, the Wells fans meet in Season 6 will be unlike any we’ve met thus far – though his mannerisms may remind some fans of one Indiana Jones.

"“The Wells that we’re going to try and muster this year will be an adventurer, a bit of a swashbuckler and a little bit little bit of a rogue,” The Flash‘s Tom Cavanagh teased of the latest iteration of Harrison Wells set to be introduced in Season 6.“He will fit into the overall story that we’re trying to tell which is always nice when we can do that. Like last year, we had me as Sherlocke tracking down me as Reverse Flash and that was a delight to get a chance to play,” Cavanagh continued. “This year, he’ll fit into the story in ways I can’t reveal. [I can tell you he’ll be a bit of an] adventurer [with a mix of] intrigue, deceit and a modicum of sensuality.”"

Unfortunately for the Wells fans out there, it sounds as though we’ll have to be patient in awaiting the arrival of Cavanagh’s newest take on the character. Although the timing remains uncertain, this swashbuckling new Wells will make his debut a few episodes into the season in a fun and unique way.

"“I think [it will] probably be a couple episodes in, but it’ll be different than the normal [introduction storylines],” Cavanagh previewed of the introduction storyline in place this new Wells. “There’s generally a format that we introduce the new character and this will be different in terms of a lot of times this guy needs them. And this year might be quite different.”"
