The web hit the fan after news surfaced about Disney and Sony failed to re-up on their Spider-Man deal but there’s no need to panic, seriously.

News shattered the Spider-Verse, as the Marvel’s Cinematic Universe will no longer feature Tom Holland’s Spider-man. That’s right, in case you’ve missed it, Disney and Sony couldn’t come to an agreement on Spider-Man, with Deadline being the first to report the news:

"“Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige won’t produce any further Spider-Man films because of an inability by Disney and Sony Pictures to reach new terms that would have given the former a co-financing stake going forward [simply put]… Sony has essentially nixed Feige, and the future involvement of Marvel from the Spider-Man universe.”"

Understandably, there’s shock over the fact that Spider-Man’s impending exit from the MCU could indeed become a reality. The X-Men and Fantastic Four will debut, making the Marvel family a little more complete. Plus, the MCU has done everything possible to make him the next Iron Man, except for calling him Tony Stark.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige undoubtedly had plans for future Spider-Man films. After all, Spider-Man Far From Home dropped a major bomb that was set to have major ramifications for the MCU. Now that the Sony and Disney’s deal has fallen apart, things aren’t looking great.

However, all hope isn’t lost, as there is a silver lining in the dark cloud that looms over Spider-Man. Long before the connected universe existed, we had Spider-Man films fans enjoyed. Sony having their web-slinger back makes things a little more interesting.
