Wolverine and the 25 greatest X-Men characters of all-time
By Mark Lynch
20. Jubilee
Jubilation Lee became an X-Man by chance. She was a homeless mall-rat who did tricks with her powers for money. While the X-Men were in Australia, Storm, Psylocke, Dazzler, and Rogue decided to have a night out. They ended up in the same mall where Jubilee was. Later, Jubilee was being hunted by the M-Squad (I didn’t name them). The four women stopped the M-Squad from taking Jubilee and protected the people in the mall. When everything was taken care of, the four ladies left through a portal. Jubilee saw that the portal was still open and jumped in before it closed. The rest is history.
Despite not being a major player in the X-Men, she remained a popular character. Her jubilant (pun intended) personality and never say quit attitude was something that everybody loved. It also helped that her and Wolverine went on a ton of adventures together. Not just in the comics. She was Wolverine’s sidekick in the 1990’s X-Men animated series as well.
Jubilee hasn’t had much screen time in the movies. One in a deleted scene and another in X-Men: Apocalypse. Jubilee being popular as a comic book character and in the animated series proves that she can and will be loved in anything she’s in. However, a TV series could be a way to introduce her into the MCU.
