18. Cable

Here we have another time traveling superhero. Cable is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey. After being infected by a techno organic virus, he was sent to the future where he could be saved. Cable eventually came back to the present and was older and (possibly) wiser than his father.

He has the same mentality that Bishop does: Save the future by any means necessary except Cable does a bit more research before killing people. When he has access to his powers, Cable is the most powerful telepath and telekinetic in the world. Without his powers, Cable is equally dangerous. He’s a capable scientist, a genius in military strategy, and has knowledge of almost every hero and villain who’ve ever lived.

What we saw in Deadpool 2 is only the beginning. When he was with Hope in the comics, we saw a different side of Cable. We saw Cable the father. He was willing to die if it meant saving her. Not because she was the mutant messiah. Because he loved her like she was his flesh and blood. We’ve seen the ruthless fighting side of him. Wait until you see the humorous and loving side. It’ll blow your mind how complete of a character he is.
