4. Ben Hardy

Ben Hardy made quite the impression on X-Men fans when he appeared in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Playing renowned Marvel Comics character Warren Worthington III/Archangel, he delivered a strong performance that elevated what was actually a relatively light supporting role. However, anyone who knows Hardy will know that, given his history, it’s no surprise that he was able to make a lot out of little.

Granted Apocalypse was the young actor’s first feature film, but it was far from his first role, as he spent two years shocking, moving and stunning people with his performance on the iconic long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders.

Portraying Peter Beale (the son of the legendary original character Ian Beale), Hardy was the latest of six actors to take on the role over the character’s lifetime. A tall task, no doubt, but one that he never struggled with as, during his two year-stint on the show, he was involved in a number of memorable storylines and always managed to make his version of Peter feel like the definitive one.

X-Men: Apocalypse, Bohemian Rhapsody and Mary Shelley are only the latest examples of his acting prowess because Hardy has been showcasing his talent since his EastEnders days.
