9. What If… Star-Lord?
One of the most entertaining characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Peter Quill. Beyond being hilarious, Star-Lord has a deep origin. First, his mother dies. and, immediately after, he is abducted by aliens and raised to be a thief. Later on, he’s thrown into a situation with a random group of misfits and charged with saving the galaxy. And it doesn’t end there. Quill finds out his father is directly responsible for his mother’s death and is literally a planet. It’s not shocking that he’s emotionally unstable. That instability caused him to abandon the play to take the Infinity Gauntlet away from Thanos.

All Star-Lord had to do was wait a few more minutes. After that, he could have beaten ten shades of purple off the Mad Titan. What would have happened if Peter waited and grabbed the Gauntlet? You can guarantee Quill would have tried to use the Infinity Gauntlet to bring Gamora back. Everyone he’s loved seems to die. Peter would have gotten ahold of the Gauntlet and tried to use it. That could have caused the destruction of the universe. If not, he definitely may have caused something weird like David Hasselhoff becoming king of the universe.
