9 Marvel Cinematic Universe moments that could be used for ‘What If…?’

1. What if… Sif?
We haven’t seen a lot of Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that’s disappointing. She’s one of the most savage fighters in all of the Nine Realms. In the first Thor movie, Thor admitted that he didn’t have to believe in Sif when no one else would. She knew she could be great, and she proved it. Without her, Thor may have been beaten a hundred times over. Thor was destined to wield Mjölnir, but what if Sif would have been worthy?
Sif being the God of Thunder could have changed the course of the MCU dramatically. Thor may have been jealous of her getting what he deemed as his birthright. So much so that he could have become Asgard’s greatest villain. Also, would she have joined the Avengers? It’s doubtful Odin would have sent her to Earth. She’s much more humble than Thor ever was. This means there would be no need to teach him a lesson. No Earth means no God of Thunder on the Avengers. Now, when Thanos came to Asgard ready for war, he would have been met by The God of Thunder Sif and Odin. This would be an interesting universe to visit.
