The first official photos of Riverdale’s fourth season premiere, “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam” have arrived, and they’re more telling than you think.

Riverdale‘s third season was quite the emotional rollercoaster.

The show’s core four found themselves stuck in the middle of two corrupt institutions’ unusual quests for power (which, for some reason, never thought it would be a good idea to clash with each other) as Edgar Evernever’s Farm rose to supremacy at the same time that the town succumbed to the Gargoyle King’s reign of terror, and they struggled to overcome this grim new chapter in Riverdale’s history.

In the end, they managed to do just that, standing tall as Jughead uncovered the King’s true identity and Betty was predictably right about The Farm all along. However, with numerous cliffhangers and jaw-dropping reveals, the bonkers finale left us all in need of some answers.

In spite of all that, we already know that Season 4 is going to be even more emotional due to the untimely death of actor Luke Perry. Thus, as the writers attempt to bid farewell to him and discover how Riverdale can move on without the beloved Fred Andrews as a regular part of the show, there has been a lot of intrigue surrounding the fourth season.

That said, the first official photos for the season premiere, “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam”, have been revealed, and they tell us quite a bit about the upcoming episode.
