The Brood

The original Alien movie from Ridley Scott first hit theaters in 1979. Forty years later, and the Xenomorphs are still looked at as the premier movie theater monster. We’ve seen them take on the Predator and come out on top. They’re stealthy, powerful, and their acid-like blood can kill you. The way thye reproduce has become so popular that people who haven’t seen the movies know how Xenomorphs are created. Marvel Comics has their own version of the Alien creatures called the Brood, and they might be more terrifying than the Xenomorphs.

If we’re being honest, Marvel may have ripped off the Xenomorphs. But while this may be true, Marvel added some cool things to make their aliens slightly more horrifying. First, some of them talk. When the aliens are attacking, they’re talking trash. As if they weren’t creepy enough, they can tell you how they’re going to take over the universe. Second, and possibly most important, they have a means of travel. A group of whale-like creatures called the Acanti have been used as a means of travel for the Brood. Unlike the Xenomorphs, they have a more reliable means of getting their species to other planets. A Brood movie would be just like Aliens, except with more bug-like creatures, talking sleazoids (that’s what Wolverine calls the Brood), and a space whale.
