10. MJ finds out Peter’s secret

If there’s one thing any good Spider-Man story needs, it’s a good supporting cast. The MCU’s Spider-Man has as good a supporting cast as any when you look at all of Peter’s classmates. From his best friend, Ned, to his bully, Flash Thompson, the world around Peter is well-built and feels very organic.

Spider-Man: Far From Home features Peter trying to tell MJ how he feels about her, only to be thwarted by superhero action getting in the way. After defeating the Fire Elemental alongside Mysterio, it seems that Peter has finally got his chance when MJ agrees to go for a walk around the city with him. The two are walking and talking and it finally gets to the point when Peter decides he needs to tell her something and that’s where his plans change.

MJ butts in thinking that Peter is about to reveal that he is, in fact, Spider-Man and Peter’s face drops. Immediately, he denies it, but MJ says that it’s fairly obvious. Once again, he tries to deny it, until a bit of Mysterio’s tech reveals that Peter has been tricked. He then tells MJ the truth, much to her surprise and the two return to the hotel to speak to Ned and figure out their next move. It was a turning point for the film, but also for the duo whose presence will be missed in the MCU.
