With an Obi-Wan series on its way, the crew is beginning to fill out and now, a director is being brought on board.

As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Deborah Chow is being brought onto the as-yet-untitled Obi-Wan series. This won’t be her first foray into the world of Star Wars, though, as she also directed two episodes of the upcoming series The Mandalorian. She has also worked on other genre shows such as American Gods, Jessica Jones, and Mr. Robot. As of now though, it’s unknown whether she will be directing the entire series or if she is directing select episodes.

Centered around the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi during his self-imposed exile on Tatooine, the upcoming Disney Plus series will feature the return of Ewan McGregor as the fan-favorite character. Nothing much is known about the series except that it will be set eight years after Revenge of the Sith. Not much has been explored about this point in Obi-Wan’s life except for the “Journals of Ben Kenobi” issues of the Star Wars comic. He also appeared in Star Wars Rebels, in which he had his final fight with Darth Maul.

More from Disney Plus

Star Wars fans have been clamoring for more Obi-Wan Kenobi since the prequel trilogy ended in 2005. After years of rumors and speculation regarding a film for the character, in which nothing seemingly was happening, there was a collective sigh of relief when the series was finally announced. Now, with each bit of news coming out, the series actually feels like it’s going to happen. There’s still a lingering feeling that it won’t actually be real until we, collectively, sit down to watch the series when it premieres on Disney Plus.
