Spider-Man: Far From Home – 6 ways it hinted at Talos and Soren’s presence
1. Your Earth
In the trailer for the film, the ex-director of SHIELD tells Parker, “He’s from Earth, just not ours.”
This changed in the film to, “Beck is from Earth, just not yours.” This might not mean anything on first viewing but, when you view the rest of the movie through to the post-credits scene, it makes more sense.
2. Sass Over Constant Knocking
2. Sass Over Constant Knocking
When Happy approaches Peter to don his suit during his trip to Europe, the resurrected hero tells him no and ghosts Fury, despite the former Stark bodyguard and driver telling him Spider-Man wasn’t ignoring him.
Fury eventually catches up with Peter in his European hotel room. He also knocks out Ned so he can talk to Parker without interference. However, when people knock on the door, the master spy says if someone interrupts again, they’ll be attending another funeral.
3. Dismissing Captain Marvel
When Peter tells Fury to get someone else to complete his mission, he mentions Thor, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel as possible replacements. Fury says the former Asgardian king is off-world, while he also tells him not to invoke Carol Danvers’ name. Now, we have to ask ourselves, why?
Anyone who has seen Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame knows the relationship between Fury and Danvers is close, When Carol sees Nick is amongst those who got blipped, she’s devastated that her longtime friend is apparently deceased. Dismissing her is another thing Fury wouldn’t do. He would say they should only contact her if the threat is too large for them to handle ,but he wouldn’t rule her entirely.
Another factor is that Carol helped save Talos and Soren’s people almost thirty years earlier. Therefore, it’s possible he was trying to honuor her by not mentioning her name.
