Timothée Chalamet’s recent comments have sparked debate over who could play Robin in an upcoming DC film. With that, let’s take a look at some actors who could play him in the DCEU.

Even though multiple movies and/or TV shows and even late ’30s comic books might have you believing otherwise, there is no Batman without Robin.

Dick Grayson? Tim Drake? Damian Wayne? It doesn’t matter who dons the domino mask because the Boy Wonder is a huge part of The Dark Knight’s legacy and is almost always an expected part of any Batman’s timeline.

The second Bird Boy himself Jason Todd summed it up pretty well on Titans (in which he is portrayed by Curran Walters) when he said, “Batman needs Robin”. And, with that, fans have long been wondering if the most significant member of DC’s Bat-Family will make his presence felt on the big screen at some point in Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe.

While a graffiti-laced suit suggests that Jason Todd suffered a horrendous fate at the hands of The Joker (much like in the comics), none of the Robins have actually appeared. And with the not-really-DCEU-related-but-possibly-DCEU-related prequel The Batman (helmed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson) due out in 2021, many of us have wondered if we’ll see the Boy Wonder show up in that.

Actor Timothée Chalamet recently discussed the possibility of playing that role, telling Variety that he’s not averse to comic book universes. This naturally sent the internet into meltdown as fans eager to see Robin make his presence felt on The Batman began to imagine Chalamet taking on the role.

However, he’s not the only one who could pull it off. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the actors we’d love to see bring Robin to life.
