5. Curran Walters

Whether the DCEU ever wants to show us what its version of Jason Todd looked like, or Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight decides to recruit the young Todd, they’re going to have a hard time finding an actor that embodies the comics’ second Robin quite like Curran Walters.

Walters currently portrays the Boy Wonder on DC Universe series Titans – the first and only actor to ever play him – and is, without a doubt, one of the most comic-accurate depictions of all time – not a bad feat to accomplish in a short number of episodes.

Introduced as a guest in the first season, he appeared in only three episodes and made such a good impression that he was promoted to a series regular for the second season. And, from what we’ve seen from Season 2 so far, he fits right in.

Walters knows exactly how to deliver a compelling performance and, more than that, he continually nails the reckless attitude and outspoken nature of Todd to such an extent that it’s impossible to imagine anyone else ever trying to bring the character to life.

This isn’t a case of television not being good enough for Walters and thus, he should be allowed to portray the role on the big screen – quite the opposite, in fact. The young actor is so good at what he does that it would automatically put any other live-action Jason Todd at a disadvantage – because how on earth do you follow that?

DC’s habit of separating its film and TV universes may prevent it from ever happening, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be said: Curran Walters is the definitive Jason Todd.
