2. Nick Robinson

Already a veteran of his craft, Nick Robinson has been proving himself on both the big and small screens for almost a decade a now. A background in theater, he got his start in television in ABC Family’s “hit-com” Melissa & Joey in which he portrayed the adorably oblivious nephew of Melissa Joan Hart’s character.

Throughout the show’s run, and after it, he had a number of breakout appearances in film, leading the critically-acclaimed indie darling The Kings of Summer and playing that notoriously moody older brother in Jurassic World. But perhaps his most important performance of all came in 2018’s Love, Simon, when he delivered an incredibly authentic portrayal of a closeted gay high school teenager.

That only scratches the surface of what Robinson has achieved in his already-stellar career, but if it’s anything to go by, it’s clear that he’d be the perfect choice to play Robin. His performances in Jurassic World and sci-fi thriller The 5th Wave are proof that he copes well with physically-demanding roles, while his emotional offerings in Love, Simon and indie drama Being Charlie are only two examples of how he thrives with emotionally-charged roles.

From troubled teen to boy-next-door, there’s something in his impressive résumé that pretty much suggests he’d be great at any variation of the Boy Wonder – and that is a testament to his acting prowess (especially when you consider his young age).

Aside from all of that, it really should be said: He even has Robin in his name.
