The Flash: 5 biggest takeaways from the season 6, episode 1 trailer
1. Barry Travels Through Time To See The Crisis
The Crisis has been coming for a very long time, but it just got a heck of a lot closer.
Nora West-Allen inadvertently played right into the Reverse-Flash’s hands when she altered the timeline in a bid to save her father. However, whether or not she actually accomplished that remains to be seen, but she did end up bringing the Crisis forward as it will now take place in 2019 instead of 2024.
From the trailer, it appears that Barry Allen won’t take the news of the Crisis’ impending arrival too well as, for the first time ever, he will travel to the date of the Crisis just to see what the multiverse-threatening event looks like – in the hopes that he will be able to stop it somehow.
Naturally, it looks like he doesn’t take the results well either, as he emotionally recalls how he saw billions of possible futures and billions of deaths. But being the hero that he is, he concludes that the reason he was given powers was to help save the lives of everyone around him… and he means everyone.
Barry Allen’s history with time-travel is, well, checkered, to say the least but on this occasion, we can certainly forgive him for taking that trip. The only question is: Will it provide him with the knowledge he needs to stop the Crisis?
