3. Bryan Callen

Bryan Callen of The Fighter and the Kid and Joe Rogan Experience podcast fame has been doing stand-up comedy with his pal Joe Rogan since the 1980s and has managed to release three stand-up specials on top of many TV credits, including MADtv and How I Met Your Mother. Callen was revealed early on to be in the film, and it was rumored that he would be playing a male stripper, which was sadly not true.

Callen can be seen making fun of Arthur Fleck as he is cleaning out his locker at work, and before he successfully “punches” the clock for the last time. His cameo appearance was so brief and forgettable that one could argue if he was in the film at all, making it even more of a shame that his original character had been scrapped.

Bryan Callen can currently be seen on the ABC comedies The Goldbergs and Schooled.

4. Marc Maron

Marc Maron was the first and most prolific stand-up comedian announced to appear in Joker, and he had the biggest role, as well. Maron has been doing comedy longer than Bryan Callen. Aside from being a stand-up comic, he’s a seriously talented actor and hosts one of the most prolific podcasts of all time.

In this film, Maron plays a producer on Murray Franklin’s show, who scolds Joker for calling De Niro’s character “Murray” instead of “Mr. Franklin.” Throughout Arthur’s entire monologue, Maron can be seen looming in the background, all the way until the messy finale.

Marc Maron can currently be seen on Netflix’s GLOW.
