Batwoman’s series premiere introduced us to Gotham’s new Dark Knight, but it also left us in need of a lot of answers!

After a year of anticipation, Batwoman has finally spread her wings on The CW, kick-starting a new era for the Arrowverse in the process.

The pilot episode focused on the return of Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) who was drawn back to Gotham upon discovering that her former lover, Sophie, had been kidnapped by the villainous Alice and her Wonderland Gang.

A city without its protector (as Batman has been missing for three years), Gotham was prime for the taking – and that’s exactly what Alice did. However, it also allowed Kate to step up and become the new hero that the city needed: Batwoman.

The premiere certainly answered a lot of questions that fans had for the show, but it also left us with a ton of questions. With that in mind, let’s delve right into them.

5. What Happened To Batman?

The Dark Knight, the Caped Crusader, the World’s Greatest Detective; Batman has always been there for Gotham in its darkest of days, saving those in need and punishing the guilty. But his three-year absence left much of the city ready to give up hoping that he would ever return. Naturally, we have also been left wondering what actually happened to him.

The fact that Luke Fox still works for Wayne Security suggests that Bruce Wayne is still alive and well. The only question is: Where is he?

Kate was following that line of questioning until she shifted gears and focused on the Bat-Cave, leaving us all in suspense. But are we going to find out what he’s up to and if, or when, he’ll ever return?
