The second episode of Arrow’s eighth season, “Welcome To Hong Kong”, was full of shocks and it left us with a number of major questions.

Arrow‘s eighth and final season is well underway now.

The Season 8 premiere saw Oliver Queen make his first ever trip to Earth-2 at The Monitor’s behest, but that trip ended up resulting in the complete decimation of that very universe, as a giant wave of anti-matter erased this earth off the face of the, well, multiverse.

Things immediately picked up in the second episode, “Welcome To Hong Kong”, as Oliver, Diggle and the last presumed survivor of Earth-2, Laurel Lance, dealt with the fallout and took on another mission from The Monitor.

It was undoubtedly another strong adventure, but it was one that left us all in need of some answers. So without further ado…

3. Have we seen the last of China White?

Kelly Hu is perhaps Arrow‘s longest-running recurring star, as the veteran actress has been sporadically appearing across the show since its second episode. However, as she came to prominence again in the third season through the Hong Kong flashbacks, it was only fitting that the show brought her back one more time in “Welcome To Hong Kong”.

From working as part of The Triad to having one final battle with Katana, the writers made sure that she revisited all of her greatest (or deadliest) hits in this final season. However, though she came incredibly close to killing Tatsu Yamashiro, she wasn’t able to get the job done as Black Canary herself, Laurel, unleashed her Canary Cry on her – sending the white-haired villainess into the water.

Was that really the end of China White? Of course, knowing how crafty she is, it’s highly likely that she made it out of the water alive, but does this defeat mark the last time we’ll ever see her on the show?
