The Arrowverse has killed off plenty of characters over the past seven years, but which deaths truly broke our hearts?
The CW’s Arrowverse has been on our screens for nearly a decade and, by the looks of things, it has no intention of leaving them any time soon.
With five live-action shows in Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman currently airing (and a potential sixth one on the way to replace Arrow when it ends), there is truly no shortage of superheroes and supervillains in that shared universe. However, one unfortunate side-effect of having so many characters can often be multiple character deaths.
Death is no stranger to the Arrowverse. It has come many times (even on occasions when it shouldn’t have) in order to claim the life of a hero, villain, loved one or civilian. It isn’t picky and will end up leaving the shared world of superheroes looking drastically different than it was before. And with a game-changer like Crisis On Infinite Earths upon us, we should expect a lot more in the very near future.
With that in mind, let’s take a trip back in time and through the multiverse in order to reflect on the most heartbreaking deaths that the Arrowverse has ever seen. Get your tissues at the ready, it’s going to be an emotional one.
