Happy Halloween: 7 frightening Marvel Comics movie scenes
By Mark Lynch
3. A turd in the wind
Movie: Venom (2018)
Venom alone is one of the scariest beings in comics. He’s an alien that enters your body and has the potential to take control of you, and he’s most known for eating people. The last scene of Venom showed why this was a creature to be feared after he threatened a criminal.
A guy tried to rob a store while Eddie Brock was in there. Venom came out and told the criminal to leave and never come back, threatening him:
"“We will eat both your arms, and then both of your legs, and we will eat your face right off your head. You will be this armless, legless, faceless thing, won’t you? Rolling down the street like a turd in the wind.”"
He scared the (possibly literal) poop out of him. And instead of letting him go, he decided to eat him anyway. Eh, he deserved to get eaten.
2. Wade Wilson suffocates
Movie: Deadpool (2016)
Wade Wilson was looking for a cure for his cancer, and that ultimately led him to a place that was going to activate his X-Gene. In order to do that, they had to torture him as, of course, traumatic moments are the best way to activate his mutant gene.
Wade was tortured in some horrific ways like electrocution and just being beaten. But none of that was as bad as the one that actually activated his powers. Air was sucked out of his tube until the point of suffocation and then released air only to have it sucked out again.
This happened to Wade nonstop for an entire weekend. He was left alone in the dark for 72 hours and put to the brink of death over and over again.
This could be the scariest experience on this list. Well, nothing is scarier than having to relive Wade Wilson with laser eyes and no mouth.
