MCU: The Snap and the 15 defining moments from Marvel’s Infinity Saga

8. Steve Rogers: Super Soldier
Movie: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Along with Thor and Tony Stark, Steve Rogers is one of the big three Avengers. Before he was one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, he was fighting the good fight in World War 2. During this time, he fought Red Skull and Hydra. In the end, he was willing to forfeit him life to stop planes from bombing random parts of the world, including one which was headed straight for the White House. The world would have looked very different if Captain America wasn’t there to prevent Hydra from completing their plans.
When Rogers was defrosted, he led the Avengers to victory on more than a few occasions. He’s even saved the world on his own (like it was discussed above). Picture a world without Steve Rogers. There wouldn’t have been anyone willing to save troops captured and experimented on during World War 2. They just gave up on them.
No one would have been there to stop Hydra from completing their plan for world domination. Tony Stark wouldn’t have had a friend that made sure that he was checked when he went too far. A debate can be made that Tony wouldn’t be the hero he is without Steve Rogers. He may not be the most popular, but he may be the best Avenger.
