5. Scott Lang & A Rat

Movie: Avengers: Endgame (2019)

An experiment that would change a lot of things in the world.  Scott Lang was successfully sent into the Quantum Realm. An experiment that would change a lot of things in the world. However, when he asked to come back, he didn’t get a response. Unbeknownst to him, Thanos just dusted 50% of the universe. Of those people were Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, and Hope Pym —  who were supposed to bring him back from the Quantum Realm.

Seeing this in the theaters was scary. Scott was lost to the world. Floating in a strange place. How long would he be trapped there? Well, after a rat (the true savior of the universe) ran over the Quantum Realm controls and brought Scott back, we found out the answer to how long was complicated.

While five years had passed in the universe, only five hours passed in the Quantum Realm. This gave Scott the idea that the Quantum Realm was the key to winning. This time difference meant that there could be a way to gather the Infinity Stones from the past.

This was the second of the three events that saved the universe. Without the Infinity Stones, all hope was lost. Those five hours in the Quantum Realm must have been terrifying, yet without those five hours, billions of lives would still be lost.
