MCU: The Snap and the 15 defining moments from Marvel’s Infinity Saga

2. I…am Iron Man
Movie: Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It was a long time coming, but every hero that could fight showed up to fight Thanos and his mighty army. For the first time since Thanos showed up, it was a fair fight. Every time it looked bad for the heroes, someone showed up to save the odds. Whether it was Scarlet Witch putting fear into Thanos or Captain Marvel flying in and destroying Thanos’ giant ship. Things were looking up. That was until Thanos got his hands on Infinity Stones.
With a smile on his face, Thanos said “I am inevitable” and snapped his fingers. This time, however, nothing happens. Iron Man stole the stones right under Thanos’ nose. Iron Man responds, “And I…am Iron Man.” Tony snapped his fingers, turning Thanos and his army into dust.
The Infinity Saga ends the way it began: With Tony Stark. It seemed appropriate considering what he meant to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stark saving the day set everything back the way it was. It may have cost him his life, but Stark did it. He saved everyone. Seeing him grow from a selfish billionaire to savior of the universe was a big deal. As important as this was, none of this is possible without the next moment.
