10. Loki accidentally creates the Avengers
Movie: The Avengers (2012)
In the comic books, Loki was the catalyst that brought the Avengers together. It also happens in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After losing a fight to his brother Thor, Loki teamed up with Thanos. Loki’s plan was working fine. The heroes hadn’t been a team yet and were fighting among each other. It was easy considering there were too many egos and personalities in the room. However, his plan ends up backfiring when they all work together to avenge Phil Coulson’s death. Together, they defeat the Chitauri and the Avengers are born, all thanks to Loki.

Loki’s mischief always seems to backfire on him. He sets things in motion to destroy the planet his brother loves. This ends with Loki inadvertently creating Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Had Loki not be his normal God of Lies self, the Avengers may not have been created. Without them in the right place at the right time, New York would have been destroyed and the world would have been at the mercy of Thanos and his Black Order. He would have had an easy time destroying earth Earth. So, Loki, thank you for messing and accidentally creating the Avengers.
