5. Zatanna

Zatanna is a showwoman in the clearest definition. She’s not very shy to show off her magic skills and magical powers. Every school needs a showoff, and Zatanna can fill in that role.

Zatanna has mostly made animated appearances up to this point. Her only live-action appearance has been in Smallville, where she was portrayed by actress Serinda Swan. She has been rumored for other roles in movies, but those projects have not been developed any further than a concept.

Zatanna is a fun character that visual effect artists can play around with, and she’s a character that doesn’t get the recognition she deserves from the casual audience. Her inclusion in DC Super Hero High could propel Zatanna into the mainstream and possibly kick start more appearances from the character in live-action.

While she’s confident and willing to show off, Zatanna also has a tragic backstory involving her father, Giovanni “John” Zatara. Depending on the story, she is either a witness to or involved in the disappearance of her father.

Her time in the school could be spent coming up with ways to find her father or develop her magical powers. A potential character arc for Zatanna is there to explore if she is tapped for DC Super Hero High.
