Black Lightning season 3: What we know about the characters

With the third season of Black Lightning in full swing, what have we learned about the main characters?

Season 3 of Black Lightning has been intense, to say the least. There’s chaos in Freeland, people are getting snatched off the streets by the A.S.A. if they’re suspected of being metahumans, and the A.S.A. has gone crazy with power and started bullying the police, as well. On top of all this, a virus is killing people who’ve taken the Green Light drug or have the metagene. All of this has happened, and we haven’t even gotten to the fifth episode of the season yet. One of the more intriguing things is how the creative team has firmly developed the characters in such a short amount of time.

When a show has a lot of important characters, the story will sometimes suffer. Black Lightning doesn’t have that problem. They’ve done a great job of letting the characters grow without sacrificing the story; mostly because everything is tied together. This is a great move, as this keeps viewers interested in everyone, even the characters they may not like. Since so much has happened and characters have changed, it seemed like a good idea to do a recap of the characters, highlight what they’ve been up to, and speculate about what may happen to them in the future.
