The end of the decade is upon us, but which superhero movies stood out as the best that it had to offer?

This past decade has been an interesting one for superhero movies.

Over the past ten years, we have seen Marvel Studios single-handedly dominate the comic book movie landscape with their shared universe, while other studios have attempted to launch their own. One of the greatest film trilogies of all time came to an end while others were spawned, and a number of superheroes finally took to the big screen for their feature film debut in movies that we never thought we’d see – and the world’s greatest female hero even debunked a long-standing rumor about the appeal of female-led superhero movies.

Yes, it’s been a decade of change for the superhero landscape, as it kicked off with forgettable flicks (that are in all honesty best left forgotten) and yet through cinematic spectacles and record-breaking showdowns, found its way to a year that changed its very own image forever.

But before we find ourselves looking forward and wondering how the MCU will follow Avengers: Endgame, or how Joker will impact the face of comic book movies, let’s take this time to reflect on the past 10 years and honor the 15 greatest superhero movies to come out of the 2010s.
