Masters of the Universe: Kevin Smith teases voice cast for Netflix series

DC Daily host, filmmaker and actor turned podcaster, Kevin Smith, hypes up the voice cast for the new Masters of the Universe series.

The filmmaker, actor, comedian, writer and now showrunner of Masters of the Universe: Revelation Kevin Smith, hyped up the voice cast on social-media for the upcoming animated series.

Ever since Smith gave an update on the direct sequel to the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon, the filmmaker has been ramping up quite a buzz on the Mattel-based property. He stated the creative team at Powerhouse Animation are working on the animatics. Smith confirmed on his post on Twitter that the animators had been working on the animatics for the pilot episode he written.

What is very interesting to note about that tweet, reported by CBR.com, earlier this month when Smith stopped by Austin, Texas, in the middle of The Road Show tour promoting the Jay and Silent Bob reboot is that at least some of the voice actors have already been cast. In the latest tweet, Smith did not reveal the cast, but he did reveal that it will be hitting the Internet quite soon. This is what Smith wrote in his tweet:

Masters of the Universe: Revelation is an anime set to drop on Netflix, which picks up where the original series left off in 1985.
