Superhero movies have ruled the box office in the past decade and these 25 actors and actresses have delivered some of the greatest superhero movie performances of the past 10 years!
If you’re a fan of the superhero movie genre, then welcome to the golden age. Superhero movies were once an every so often event. Now you’ll see at least three or four of them a year. The performances have evolved over time as well.
Actors can’t phone in performances anymore. Just look at Joaquin Phoenix in Joker. His portrayal of Arthur Fleck (Joker) was so well done that it’ll be shocking if he isn’t nominated for an award in 2020. Before him, Heath Ledger took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Not everyone can play these roles well, though, as we’ve seen some A-List stars fail despite their best efforts.
Not everyone is going to be a 10 out of 10. And every flawless superhero movie performance isn’t equal. Some of these performances are better for multiple reasons. Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger both played classic interpretations of the Joker. Although, they were iconic for different reasons, to some Heath was the better of the two because he was dark and gritty. Others choose Nicholson because he was more like the comic book.
