Crisis on Infinite Earths: Every DC Comics event ranked worst to best

3. Doomsday Clock
During Flashpoint, the DC universe was irrevocably changed. If it wasn’t by The Flash, then who changed the universe?
At the point of publishing, 11 out 12 issues for this often delayed series have been released, but that’s enough to really get an idea of the series. Those delays, although annoying, seem to always be for the benefit of the series because Doomsday Clock has been incredible. The idea of a sequel to Watchmen is an insane idea, but the way it has been handled and incorporated in the DC universe has been incredibly smart and worthy of Watchmen. Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, and Brad Anderson have done fantastic on every issue of the series, creating something that expands on the mythology of both Watchmen and the main DC universe.
The only real problem with this series is the real life ramifications of the delays that the series has had, leading to an uncertainty of where this series lies in continuity. It was supposed to be set a year after the Rebirth continuity, but now that the series is ending a year after originally planned, it’s hard to say. Regardless, that doesn’t take away from the quality of the series.
