Star Wars: The 10 best villains of the Skywalker Saga, ranked

Another day closer to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, right now is as good of a time as any to look at the antagonists of the Star Wars universe.

Ever since Darth Vader stormed onto the Tantive IV to capture Princess Leia, Star Wars has created some of the most iconic villains of all time. So iconic in fact, there is nary a soul in the world that hasn’t heard of at least one Star Wars villain, whether they’ve seen the films or not. They’ve been parodied, copied, and homaged countless times, and there will probably never be a let up in their popularity. If the heroes are why people go to see Star Wars, the villains are why they stay.

Here comes the extremely hard question: how should they be ranked? Characters that people love will be left off, sadly, and everyone will inevitably have their own rankings of the characters. This list will focus on characters introduced within “The Skywalker Saga”, but there will be a couple of exceptions to that rule. This list will also be a more objective view of the characters and not be based around personal favorites. And of course, there will be a character not featured on this list that will annoy people, and it will a different one for every person.
